Technical Accounting Senior Manager

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Salary: USD 132,880–212,700 per year, plus eligibility for RSU, RCU, and cash bonus programs.

What you will do

• Research complex and non-routine accounting matters and prepare technical accounting memorandums.
• Evaluate transactions involving revenue, inventory, manufacturing costs, consolidation, VIEs, equity, investments, financing, leases, impairments, going concerns, and business combinations.
• Support compliance with U.S. GAAP and IFRS and bridge differences between the two reporting frameworks.
• Partner with FP&A, operations, supply chain, procurement, legal, tax, treasury, and HR on accounting matters.
• Support quarterly and annual reporting, technical disclosures, policy documentation, audit materials, and external auditor inquiries.
• Monitor new accounting standards, improve policies and controls, and mentor junior accounting professionals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and a CPA certification.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big Four or national public accounting experience.
• Strong U.S. GAAP expertise and familiarity with IFRS, including the ability to analyze differences between the frameworks.
• Experience with consolidation and VIE assessments, equity and stock-based compensation, investments, complex transactions, technical memorandums, and external audits.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and prioritization skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems such as SAP.

Nice to have

• Semiconductor, manufacturing, technology, supply chain, or multinational organization experience.
• SEC reporting and multinational statutory reporting experience.
• Experience mentoring or leading junior staff.
