Manager, Technical Accounting & Policy

Location: Hybrid, generally working from the Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey office at least three days per week; must be willing to work in the office.

Salary: $90,000–$130,000 yearly, bonus eligible.

What you will do

• Lead accounting analysis and documentation for complex and non-recurring transactions, including business combinations, divestitures, leases, impairments, and restructurings.
• Prepare technical accounting memos supporting management conclusions under U.S. GAAP and coordinate with external auditors.
• Provide technical guidance to Controllership, FP&A, and business finance teams on accounting issues and operational execution.
• Monitor emerging accounting standards and coordinate implementation readiness across relevant teams.
• Support technical disclosures, MD&A, SOX control documentation, audit readiness, and control-owner training.
• Advise on control design, process improvements, audit deliverables, and accounting policy alignment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification required.
• At least 4 years of experience in financial accounting, audit, or accounting policy roles, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, leadership, communication, collaboration, and influencing skills with high attention to detail.
• Must be willing to work from the Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey office at least three days per week.
