Sampler Technician (Entry Level / Part-Time)

Location: College Station, TX, USA; candidates must be within a commutable distance. Field sampling is performed in and near College Station, with samples shipped to the Carrollton, TX laboratory.

Salary: USD 18–21 per hour

What you will do

• Collect, document, package, and ship environmental samples according to project-specific plans and protocols.
• Support routine and non-routine environmental monitoring and data collection activities.
• Assist with on-site sample preparation and analyses for mobile laboratory operations and screening surveys.
• Complete assignment documentation and maintain quality control.
• Follow and enforce company health and safety policies, including procedures for potentially hazardous sites and materials.
• Work Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with variable hours and occasional weekend or holiday coverage as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state-issued driver's license required for delivery-vehicle driving responsibilities.
• DOT certification required within 90 days of hire for shipping hazardous chemicals.
• Ability to read maps, follow directions, operate a motor vehicle, and follow technical instructions.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations for potentially hazardous waste facilities.
• Training in site remediation and hazard protection, along with additional local, state, or client certifications, may be required.

Nice to have

• Associate degree and/or an academic background in science.
