Laboratory Technician I

Location: Omaha, Nebraska, United States; onsite. Tuesday–Saturday, 2:00 p.m.–10:30 p.m.

What you will do

• Register incoming samples and maintain accurate daily records and quality-control documentation.
• Enter sample data into the Eurofins eLIMS system accurately and on time.
• Perform laboratory testing and sample preparation while meeting turnaround-time targets.
• Verify results and submit them for transmission to the appropriate personnel.
• Identify process difficulties, non-conformances, and out-of-specification results, reporting proposed solutions to the supervisor.
• Follow laboratory quality, health, safety, environmental, and regulatory procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
• Ability to follow quality-system requirements, SOPs, local work instructions, and analytical methods.
• Ability to maintain accurate records, communicate with coworkers, and complete testing safely and efficiently.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in microbiology, food science, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, or a related field.
• Experience with plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.
• Bachelor’s degree.
