Laboratory Operations Scientist II (Life Sciences)

Location: Rensselaer, New York, USA; onsite support across multiple nearby laboratory sites

Salary: USD 26.25–27.00 per hour

Eurofins PSS provides mission-critical analytical testing services for pharmaceutical, medical device, food, cosmetic, and consumer products companies through an international laboratory network.

What you will do

• Maintain laboratory supplies, reagent inventories, media preparation, and organized, labeled laboratory spaces.
• Handle compressed gases and cryogenic liquids safely and clean and monitor temperature-controlled units, fume hoods, and biological safety cabinets.
• Use electronic systems to track equipment maintenance and calibration status and coordinate workflows between teams and departments.
• Manage paper laboratory notebooks and logbook requests, updates, and reconciliation in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.
• Assist with recurring equipment maintenance and calibrations while completing required safety and procedural training.
• Support laboratory areas across multiple sites, including work involving potent chemical compounds and occasional overtime or weekend schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences with 2 years of relevant industry experience, or a master’s degree in Life Sciences.
• Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship.
• Ability to commute independently between nearby site locations.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds or more, stand and walk for extended periods, push or pull carts and equipment, and bend or reach for supplies.
• Ability to learn processes, manage multiple tasks, maintain accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
