Project Developer (HVAC)

Location: Virtual/remote, associated with Davidson, North Carolina, United States; some travel and occasional overnight stays required.

Annual base salary: $97,406.66–$135,834.99; incentive eligible.

What you will do

• Develop small commercial HVAC, controls, connected building, digital, service, and turnkey solutions.
• Partner with Account Managers to identify profitable opportunities across national owner-direct accounts.
• Support project scoping, concept development, solution validation, preliminary design, budgets, schedules, specifications, and proposals.
• Coordinate subcontractors, independent service providers, and internal stakeholders to create executable project plans.
• Manage conceptual site plans and preliminary engineering documents through handoff to execution teams.
• Support customer satisfaction, account growth, modernization, digital expansion, and long-term service opportunities.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in Engineering, a technical field, Business, or a related discipline.
• Experience in project development, project management, service solutions, turnkey delivery, construction-related sales support, or similar work.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, building systems, construction methods, and the building construction industry.
• Ability to scope and estimate projects, audit mechanical and building systems, recommend solutions, and support proposal development.
• Proficiency in Visio, AutoCAD, or other design software; familiarity with digital platforms and connected building technologies is beneficial.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations in the previous three years.

• Ability to develop HVAC system-level sequences of operation and system-level control requirements.
