Industrial Engineering Intern (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Support the GMC Area Study Project through operational analysis and process improvement activities.
• Conduct cycle time studies and evaluate current manufacturing processes.
• Collect, organize, and analyze production and workflow data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Perform routing analysis and recommend changes to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
• Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and cross-functional teams to gather information and validate findings.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation, and support implementation of improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Available to commit to an internship of at least 24 weeks.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum CGPA of 3.00.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement principles.
• Experience with statistical analysis, time studies, or process mapping through coursework or projects.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial engineering concepts.
• Strong organization skills and a proactive approach to solving operational challenges.
