Senior Industrial Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: Batu Kawan, Penang, Malaysia; onsite at the Penang SDSM Office

What you will do

• Lead productivity, cost-saving, cycle-time, and MMR improvement projects.
• Plan and analyze production capacity to meet demand and maximize plant utilization.
• Maintain industrial engineering databases and lead related system-development projects.
• Conduct time studies, establish time standards, and drive continuous improvement using Lean concepts.
• Design production layouts, coordinate tool relocation and re-layout activities, and improve material and process flow.
• Plan direct and indirect labor resources, validate automation performance, and collaborate with Production, QA, Process, and Automation teams on Operations KPIs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• 3–7 years of working experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical, decision-making, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate efforts across a fast-paced organization.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other analysis tools.
• Coding, database, and system-development skills.
• Knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma.
