Module Engineer (Contract) (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Penang, Malaysia

Contract term: 1 year, with potential performance-based 1-year extension

What you will do

• Own, monitor, and optimize manufacturing processes and equipment for safety, quality, productivity, and yield.
• Analyze process, equipment, and production data to identify trends and support continuous improvement.
• Conduct experiments, testing, and measurements to improve process control, capability, and variation.
• Develop and implement process and equipment improvements that increase efficiency, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, process engineering, equipment engineering, quality, and technology development teams to resolve technical challenges.
• Support technology deployment, equipment qualification, factory ramp activities, root cause investigations, corrective actions, and technical documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with hands-on technical experience through internships, academic projects, coursework, or training, or a relevant master's degree without prior professional experience.
• Proficiency with technical tools, software, or systems relevant to manufacturing engineering.
• Ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Commitment to an initial 1-year contract term and openness to a performance-based 1-year extension.
• Ability to work on-site in Penang, Malaysia.

Nice to have

• Experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process engineering, equipment engineering, or manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of statistical methods, Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with data visualization, dashboards, analytics tools, equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, and qualification.
• Knowledge of automation, process control systems, and manufacturing data systems.
• Experience with process characterization, yield improvement, defect reduction, or high-volume manufacturing.
