Module Engineer (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Penang, Malaysia; Shift 1 (Malaysia).

What you will do

• Own, monitor, and optimize manufacturing processes and equipment for safety, quality, productivity, yield, and operational performance.
• Analyze process, equipment, and production data to identify trends and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct experiments, testing, and measurements to improve process control, capability, and defect reduction.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for process deviations, equipment issues, and yield-impacting events.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, process engineering, equipment engineering, quality, technology development, suppliers, and global stakeholders.
• Support new technology deployment, equipment installation and qualification, maintenance, factory ramp activities, documentation, dashboards, and technical reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with hands-on technical experience through internships, academic projects, coursework, or training, or a relevant master's degree with no prior professional experience.
• Proficiency with technical tools, software, or systems relevant to manufacturing engineering.
• Ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions.
• Experience or knowledge in semiconductor manufacturing, process engineering, equipment engineering, manufacturing operations, or related technical fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of statistical methods, Design of Experiments, Statistical Process Control, data visualization, process optimization, yield improvement, and root cause analysis is preferred.
• Commitment to an initial 1-year contract term, with openness to a performance-based 1-year extension.

Nice to have

• Experience with equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, qualification, and performance optimization in high-volume manufacturing.
• Knowledge of automation, process control systems, and manufacturing data systems.
• Experience developing reports, dashboards, or analytics tools.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills.
