Test Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Long Beach, California, United States. Full-time position with first-shift hours from 6:00am to 2:30pm or second-shift hours from 2:00pm to 10:30pm. Evening and weekend work may be required for critical mission milestones.

Pay range: $21.33–$50 per hour in California.

What you will do

• Fabricate, clean, activate, and operate ground support equipment and test articles in partnership with engineering.
• Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and modify manufacturing and test equipment, including systems operating from vacuum to 20,000 psig.
• Work with pneumatic, hydraulic, oxygen, refrigerant, data, and control systems.
• Support development, acceptance, qualification, and investigative test campaigns for ground support and flight equipment.
• Maintain laboratory and workshop infrastructure, including cleanliness, consumables, tool control, and equipment readiness.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing, testing, operations, HVAC, or a related role.
• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for deemed export licensing under U.S. export-control requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted and willingness to work evenings or weekends when required.
• Ability to operate machinery and hand tools, interpret technical documentation, solve problems quickly, and work effectively in a changing environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, power and gas, military, HVAC, industrial gas, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.
• Experience with precision cleaning, cleanrooms, high-pressure and hazardous systems, automation, controls, data acquisition systems, or programmable logic controllers.
• Experience operating forklifts, cranes, aerial platforms, and other industrial equipment.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and aerospace testing standards such as SMC-S-016, MIL-STD-810G, or GSFC-STD-7000B.
