Engineering Technician II (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite in Huntsville, Alabama, at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center on Redstone Arsenal. First shift, 4x10 schedule: Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. U.S. citizenship and Public Trust clearance are required.

hirify.global provides engineering and technical support for NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center under the METTS III contract.

What you will do

• Disassemble, clean, reassemble, repair, and test valves, regulators, gauges, pumps, and other pressure-system components.
• Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing in high-pressure, hydraulic, and cryogenic environments.
• Read and interpret schematics and follow MSFC quality procedures, ASME, API, National Board, and manufacturer standards.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment in industrial and laboratory settings.
• Document servicing, repairs, and test results in the Work Management Computer system using Windows.
• Coordinate task updates with management and coworkers while managing multiple active assignments.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Public Trust clearance required.
• High school diploma or GED and at least one year of directly related engineering technician experience.
• Experience with maintenance and repair of mechanical components, including valves, regulators, gauges, or pumps.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work onsite on the required first-shift schedule.

Nice to have

• Trade school training or an associate degree in aerospace or an industrial field.
• Experience with pressure-system operations at NASA or another aerospace organization.
• Familiarity with NBIC repairs and clean-room operations.
