Build & Release Support Engineer (CI/CD)

Location: Fully remote, available in Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Brazil, Canada, or the USA; working hours are 8AM–5PM Pacific

What you will do

• Provide frontline support through Slack and tickets for build, release, and CI/CD systems.
• Triage build failures, broken pipelines, dependency issues, configuration errors, and artifact problems.
• Investigate Maven and Java builds, Docker images, Artifactory repositories, Jenkins jobs, and Spinnaker pipelines.
• Support incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate issues involving multiple users.
• Prepare complete escalation tickets with logs, reproduction steps, build metadata, and relevant context.
• Maintain FAQs, internal documentation, and problem-solution guides for recurring issues.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in build/release engineering, DevOps, SRE, or software development.
• Strong Git, CI/CD, build and release engineering, SDLC, and software supply chain knowledge.
• Experience with Maven or Gradle, Java build tooling, artifact repositories such as Artifactory or Nexus, and Spinnaker or a similar deployment orchestrator.
• Strong Linux/Unix command-line skills and scripting experience with Python or Bash.
• Container knowledge, including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong troubleshooting, written communication, and spoken communication skills; CI/CD experience is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Prometheus or Grafana.
• Prior SRE experience.
