Instructional Designer I (eLearning)

Location: Hybrid in Pensacola, FL or Winchester, VA, United States. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.

Salary: $29.28–$39.33 per hour.

What you will do

• Plan and manage instructional design projects and develop courses aligned with learning outcomes and business needs.
• Design classroom, online, and self-directed learning programs, including curricula, training materials, games, graphic designs, and multimedia products.
• Create and manage LMS learning activities, training assignments, and custom reports.
• Conduct training needs assessments, research subject matter, and translate processes and requirements into clear learning content.
• Evaluate course effectiveness, delivery methods, assessments, and learner outcomes, incorporating feedback into new and existing training.
• Advise trainers, train internal team members, and present instructional design information to groups including executive leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in education, business, communication, behavioral sciences, training development, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Working knowledge of instructional design and advanced knowledge of instructional theories, educational psychology, educational theory, tools, and resources.
• Experience evaluating courses and learning products, researching and writing course content, or developing courses and technology-driven training products.
• Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, planning, communication, presentation, database, word-processing, and spreadsheet skills.
• Ability to collaborate with internal and external technical or functional contacts and communicate effectively across organizational levels.
• Ability to work in the hybrid locations in Pensacola, Florida, or Winchester, Virginia.

Nice to have

• Experience in multimedia training.
• Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies, and procedures.
