Facade Manager

Location: South West London; on-site facade and envelope management required

Construction delivery for a large-scale residential and commercial development with a complex facade and high internal finish requirements.

What you will do

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of external envelope and facade works across four blocks at different construction stages.
• Directly manage 6–8 facade subcontractors and coordinate labour, materials, logistics, and multiple trades.
• Plan works, prepare look-ahead schedules, interrogate subcontractor programmes, and enforce construction targets.
• Chair external works meetings, issue minutes with clear actions, and coordinate site, design, commercial, logistics, and health and safety teams.
• Carry out facade quality assurance in Procore, maintain site diaries, review inspection templates, and provide photographic evidence.
• Coordinate inspections with Building Control, the warranty provider, and the Clerk of Works while managing change control and daywork sheets.

Requirements

• Previous experience on large-scale residential schemes with labour levels exceeding 400 and 30–40 subcontractors at peak.
• In-depth knowledge of current facade types, sequencing, best practice, temporary works, scaffolding, hoists, and temporary propping.
• Experience dealing with EWS-1, warranty providers, and the Golden Thread.
• Strong communication, leadership, commercial awareness, attention to detail, and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, Excel, and Procore.
• Good understanding of site safety requirements and the ability to coordinate works in logistically challenging environments.
