TL;DR
Facade Engineer (EWI): Designing and delivering compliant external wall insulation and façade solutions from initial specification through construction and technical handover with an accent on AutoCAD detailing, thermal performance, and Building Regulations compliance. Focus on producing technical designs and U-value calculations, resolving installation queries, and supporting façade projects through site visits and construction completion.
Location: Office-based in Milton Keynes (MK3) or Walsall (WV13), depending on the candidate's location

What you will do
- Provide technical support on external wall insulation and façade systems to customers, contractors, architects, developers, and internal teams.
- Produce compliant system designs, technical specifications, construction details, AutoCAD drawings, U-value calculations, and project documentation.
- Review architectural and construction drawings and recommend suitable façade system solutions.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including estimating support and pricing packages.
- Manage projects from specification and design through construction, technical handover, site visits, and resolution of installation queries.
- Maintain technical documentation and contribute to the development of façade and external wall insulation systems.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in external wall insulation, façades, cladding, or building envelope design.
- Strong understanding of Building Regulations, thermal performance, façade detailing, U-value calculations, and thermal bridging principles.
- Experience producing AutoCAD drawings and technical construction details.
- Ability to interpret architectural and construction drawings and manage technical projects effectively.
- Full UK driving licence if site visits are required.
- Strong communication, customer relationship, organisational, and attention-to-detail skills.

- Knowledge of Soltherm systems.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to balance technical compliance with practical construction solutions.
