Senior Business Systems Architect (AI)

Location: Remote or hybrid for candidates geographically based on the U.S. West Coast. The posting also lists Emeryville, California, United States.

Base salary: $167,000–$183,000 per year

What you will do

• Serve as the IT partner and trusted advisor for Procurement, Legal, Finance and Accounting, Human Resources, and Facilities.
• Own, configure, enhance, and support G&A applications, including procurement, contract lifecycle management, finance, supplier, inventory, and reporting platforms.
• Translate business requirements into scalable solutions and lead process improvement, user adoption, training, communication, and change management.
• Identify and implement AI, Copilot, workflow automation, and emerging technology solutions that improve efficiency and user experience.
• Design, build, and maintain enterprise integrations using SaaS integrations, APIs, middleware, and modern integration platforms.
• Support outsourced application operations, compliance, audit evidence, security, SOX, ITGC, SDLC, and change-management activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Systems, or an equivalent field.
• 8–12 years of hands-on enterprise business systems experience.
• Hands-on expertise with procurement and P2P platforms such as Coupa and contract lifecycle management platforms such as Ironclad or equivalent.
• Expert knowledge of procurement, sourcing, supply chain, inventory, supplier onboarding, legal operations, and related controls.
• Experience with AI-enabled process improvements, SaaS integrations, APIs, middleware, workflow automation, reporting, analytics, and process design.
• Strong understanding of SOX, ITGC, audit, security, governance, stakeholder management, and service delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience with Brightflag or equivalent legal spend and matter management platforms.
• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP for financials and inventory.
• Experience with Workato, Microsoft Azure, Power Platform, or enterprise platform certifications.
• ITIL, TOGAF, or similar technology governance and architecture certification.
