EHS Intern (BOSS Snowplow)

Location: Iron Mountain, Michigan, United States. The internship runs from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027, and requires availability for the full program duration.

Salary: $20–$24 per hour.

The Toro Company designs and manufactures turf, irrigation, landscape, snow and ice management, agricultural, rental, specialty, and underground construction equipment. BOSS Snowplow is its Iron Mountain division specializing in snow and ice management products.

What you will do

• Support EHS projects and programs protecting people, processes, equipment, products, and the environment.
• Work with EHS personnel, operations teams, and support functions as an EHS resource.
• Update job hazard analyses, EHS documents, safety procedures, and process documentation.
• Coordinate and conduct training, audits, program reviews, and hazard identification activities.
• Maintain EHS metric boards, prepare review documentation, and coordinate regulatory report submissions.
• Support site personnel with job safety analyses and other hazard assessments.

Requirements

• Enrollment in an educational program throughout the internship.
• Education in environmental health and safety, engineering, or a related field.
• Good academic standing at an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 2.5.
• Knowledge of relevant federal and state EHS regulations and best practices.
• Strong written, verbal, analytical, and presentation skills with effective teamwork.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
