Salary: $100,000–$170,000 annually
Company
is developing uranium enrichment technologies and pilot-scale operations to restore domestic nuclear fuel production in the United States.
What you will do
- Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the EH&S management system.
- Perform and document hazard analyses for research and development activities and pilot-scale operations.
- Partner with engineering, operations, and quality teams on safe facility design, equipment installation, and commissioning.
- Lead and participate in incident investigations, audits, inspections, compliance assessments, and corrective action programs.
- Develop and deliver EH&S training, Job Hazard Analyses, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and other safety documentation.
- Manage safety equipment, PPE, hazardous waste handling, and regulatory compliance activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Health Physics, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or EH&S, preferably in nuclear, chemical, manufacturing, or research and development environments.
- Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910, 10 CFR 20, 10 CFR 70, and DOE/NRC EH&S requirements.
- Experience with hazard assessments, audits, inspections, incident investigations, root cause analyses, and risk mitigation.
- Strong technical writing, procedure development, compliance reporting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Nice to have
- Professional certification such as CSP, CIH, CHP, CHMM, or equivalent.
- Experience supporting radiological operations, nuclear facilities, or pilot-scale process development.
- Experience with hazardous materials management, industrial hygiene monitoring, or emergency preparedness programs.
