Environmental, Health and Safety Co-Op

Location: Aurora, Illinois, United States; onsite work in an office setting, operating plant areas, and R&D labs.

Salary: $20–$30 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health and Safety programs.
• Contribute to Lockout/Tagout, machine guarding, ergonomic risk assessment, and Job Safety Analysis initiatives.
• Support ISO 14001 environmental management and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management systems.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and gap analyses, and help implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop EHS training and employee engagement activities that promote a strong safety culture.
• Collect, analyze, and present EHS data for performance metrics and reporting while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a co-op program and familiar with university requirements for participation.
• Studying Environmental, Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Graduating in December 2027 or later.
• Available to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., January through June.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Must not require hirify.global immigration sponsorship now or in the future, including H-1B, TN, or STEM OPT sponsorship.
