EHS Technician (Manufacturing): Ensuring safe regulated-waste handling, occupational safety inspections, and industrial hygiene across high-precision manufacturing operations with an accent on hazardous-material compliance, chemical exposure control, and workplace safety. Focus on managing cradle-to-grave waste processes, conducting inspections, monitoring noise and respiratory risks, and documenting corrective actions under U.S. federal, state, and local requirements.

Location: Torrance, California, United States; onsite manufacturing environment

Salary: $35.16–$49.63 per hour, depending on level

What you will do

  • Handle regulated waste from cradle to grave in compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Conduct occupational safety inspections and implement corrective interventions using safety inspection software.
  • Implement industrial hygiene programs, including chemical exposure identification and control, noise monitoring, and respiratory protection.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to maintain EHS compliance.
  • Document environmental compliance data, safety inspections, and corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
  • At least one year of experience handling, packaging, and shipping regulated waste.
  • Experience with chemical segregation, including flammable, corrosive, and reactive materials.
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or similar material-handling equipment.
  • Ability to wear respiratory protection, flame-resistant uniforms, safety-toe shoes, and other personal protective equipment.
  • Knowledge of RCRA requirements and occupational safety regulations such as 29 CFR 1910, including lockout/tagout, electrical safety, fall protection, and confined spaces.

Nice to have

  • Experience in additive manufacturing.
  • Current California and federal RCRA and DOT certifications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and computerized documentation.
