TL;DR
Integration and Coordination Engineer I (Automotive): Integrating Truck Technology Software across active safety, driver experience, vehicle controls, upfit, powernet, and architecture domains with an accent on vehicle configuration, software release, and electrical programming. Focus on diagnosing manufacturing and test-vehicle issues, designing configuration logic, and ensuring successful programming of HiL, test, and production vehicles.

Location: Portland, Oregon, United States. Hybrid schedule: 4 days per week in-office and 1 day remote. Applicants must be able to work in or relocate to Portland; relocation assistance is not available.

Salary: $71,000–$91,000 USD per year.

What you will do

  • Translate product definitions and market needs into software technical requirements.
  • Integrate Truck Technology Software across active safety, driver experience, vehicle controls and upfit, powernet, and architecture domains.
  • Release electronic hardware, software, ECU assemblies, configuration parameters, and design documentation for production applications.
  • Design vehicle configuration matrices, serial logic, order-intake compatibility rules, and configuration matrix logic.
  • Ensure successful Vehicle Electrical Programming of HiL systems, test trucks, and production vehicles.
  • Diagnose and resolve software, configuration, manufacturing, custom work order, and exemption-request issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Computer Engineering.
  • 0–2 years of professional experience.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in ambiguity and ongoing change.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Must be legally authorized to work permanently in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available, including for existing visa holders.

Nice to have

  • Experience with CANalyzer or other CAN-based tools.
  • Experience with automotive systems.
  • Experience designing, diagnosing, or troubleshooting ECUs or software.
