TL;DR

What you will do

  • Lead the development and implementation of advanced vehicle control strategies and system-level requirements.
  • Develop, verify, validate, test, and implement controls for engine, hybrid, electric, autonomous, off-road, and auxiliary vehicle systems.
  • Create control strategies in virtual simulation environments using modeling tools and hardware-in-the-loop simulators, then transfer them to vehicle testing and production.
  • Prepare project plans, designs, calculations, test plans, milestones, estimates, and technical reports.
  • Collaborate with software engineers, engineering groups, suppliers, universities, industry consortiums, and external customers.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to entry-level engineers while managing controls schedules and project priorities.

Requirements

  • Accredited bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • At least five years of related engineering experience.
  • Experience with automotive or heavy-duty vehicle control systems.
  • Knowledge of automotive or heavy-duty vehicle CAN bus and architecture.
  • Experience with MathWorks, dSPACE, Vector tools, or AUTOSAR.
  • Ability to work in the United States location specified for the role; certain positions may require U.S. Person status for controlled goods and technologies.

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree with eight or more years of related experience, a master's degree with five or more years, or a Ph.D. with two or more years.
  • Embedded software development experience with C, C++, C#, or Python.
