Client Services Consultant (Energy & Utilities)

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day operational support across energy, water and net zero technology contracts, programmes and trade associations.
• Build relationships with utility clients, technology providers, industry bodies and internal specialists.
• Coordinate forum meetings and support Chairs and committee members with preparation, facilitation and follow-up.
• Produce and quality-assure agendas, meeting papers, briefing notes, minutes, action logs, reports and governance documentation.
• Track actions, decisions, risks and issues, escalating matters and supporting agreed follow-up.
• Research UK energy and water markets, utility regulation and net zero technologies, contributing to market insight and knowledge materials.

Requirements

• Excellent written, verbal and numerical communication skills.
• Strong organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience coordinating meetings, workshops, committees or governance forums.
• Experience producing minutes, reports, briefing papers and stakeholder communications.
• Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building and customer-facing experience.
• Ability to work independently, collaborate effectively and support continuous improvement.

Nice to have

• Experience in UK energy, water or net zero markets, including smart metering, digital networks or low-carbon technology.
• Knowledge of energy or water regulation, industry codes, governance structures or assurance frameworks.
• Understanding of renewable generation, energy storage, electric vehicle charging, heat pumps, hydrogen, carbon management or intelligent water networks.
• Experience with utilities, technology providers, trade associations, budget administration, contract reporting or knowledge sharing.
