What you will do

• Lead classrooms for day-to-day and long-term substitute assignments.
• Follow lesson plans and deliver direct instruction using classroom and behavior-management strategies.
• Support tutoring, enrichment, and small-group differentiation in literacy and mathematics.
• Maintain blended-learning data trackers and monitor student progress.
• Supervise students before school, during the school day, and during dismissal while following campus safety policies.

Requirements

• Meet the minimum requirements for a valid California Substitute Teaching Permit.
• Be organized, dependable, self-managed, and able to handle multiple responsibilities.
• Demonstrate strong written and oral communication and relationship-building skills.
• Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Have computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Previous substitute teaching, instructional aide, or relevant experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• Bilingual Spanish-speaking ability.
• Experience or subject expertise in special education, mathematics, science, or English language arts.
