Industrial Engineer (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Lansing, Michigan; full-time reporting to Lansing Delta Assembly is required.

What you will do

• Optimize workflows, labor utilization, and operation sequences across manufacturing activities.
• Lead and support waste elimination and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Analyze production data, establish shop performance metrics, and solve complex operational problems.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing, maintenance, production supervisors, and shift leaders.
• Implement plant projects and initiatives, including support during off shifts or weekends when needed.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of industrial engineering experience and experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with continuous improvement, production problem solving, standardized work, lean manufacturing, time studies, and motion analysis.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions.
• Ability to work flexible schedules and support initiatives during off shifts.
• Must work on-site full-time at Lansing Delta Assembly.

Nice to have

• Three or more years of industrial engineering experience.
• Project management and cross-functional initiative execution experience.
• Working knowledge of computer-aided drafting tools.
