Hiring salary range: $132,000–$160,000 USD per year

What you will do
- Design and execute targeted lipid nanoparticle formulations carrying nucleic acid payloads such as mRNA and sgRNA.
- Develop surface modifications and bioconjugation chemistries to attach antibodies, VHHs, nanobodies, and peptides to LNPs.
- Perform particle size, polydispersity, zeta potential, encapsulation efficiency, and degree-of-labeling analyses.
- Establish mammalian cell culture models and quantitative assays for target binding, cellular uptake, endosomal escape, and cargo translation.
- Design and analyze in vivo biodistribution, pharmacokinetic, and organ-targeting studies to establish structure-activity relationships.
- Maintain electronic lab records, prepare technical and patent disclosure materials, and present findings to scientific leadership.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field.
- Scientist I: 0–2 years of relevant experience; Scientist II: 2–4 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with LNP assembly platforms and nanoparticle surface bioconjugation.
- Experience with mammalian cell culture and quantitative assays such as flow cytometry/FACS, reporter assays, and ELISAs.
- Understanding of nanoparticle biodistribution, protein corona formation, vascular barriers, and in vivo study design.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship will not be provided.
Nice to have
- Experience with automated or high-throughput liquid-handling platforms.
- Knowledge of Design of Experiments software such as JMP.
- Experience with advanced nanoparticle characterization techniques including HPLC-SEC or UPLC-CAD.
