What you will do

  • Monitor and resolve import shipment and customs clearance issues with freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, service providers, and government agencies.
  • Ensure U.S. import transactions comply with customs regulations, import control laws, and government requirements.
  • Review and resolve data accuracy issues involving valuation, country of origin, units of measure, and classification.
  • Define, operate, and improve customs import control processes and systems.
  • Maintain import controls, records, and audit preparation materials.
  • Identify process gaps, develop implementation strategies, and recommend operational improvements to management.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a related field and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. CBP and FTR laws and regulations and practical experience with import compliance processes.
  • Understanding of PGA requirements, including FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations.
  • Proficiency in Excel, data analytics, and data visualization.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-volume, multidisciplinary, and international environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience in a highly regulated, high-tech, or semiconductor industry.
  • Professional certificates, licenses, Lean Six Sigma, or relevant training.
