Senior CNC Machinist, 2nd Shift (Aerospace)

Location: Blue Ash, OH; onsite second-shift manufacturing role. U.S. citizenship is required because the position requires eligibility for a U.S. government security clearance.

What you will do

• Set up and operate 3-axis and 5-axis CNC vertical machining centers, CNC equipment, and CMM equipment.
• Develop and optimize machining fixtures for complex aerospace components made from billet and metal 3D-printed materials.
• Select tooling, prepare jobs for production, and support machining work quotations.
• Maintain setup sheets, production records, and detailed machining documentation.
• Identify and implement improvements to machining efficiency, quality, and repeatability.
• Perform equipment maintenance, identify EHS hazards, and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of CNC machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Independent setup and operation of CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T requirements.
• Experience with measurement tools, dimensional inspection, troubleshooting, and precision machining.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience; formal machining or manufacturing training is preferred.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machining centers, CNC lathes, or mill-turn equipment.
• Experience with DMG MORI, Makino, Haas, Mazak, or DN Solutions/Doosan equipment.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or other regulated quality systems.
• Experience machining nickel-based heat-resistant superalloys, aerospace components, or metal 3D-printed parts.
• Experience with process or continuous improvement initiatives.
