CNC Programmer (Aerospace)

hirify.global develops rocket engine propulsion systems, including rotating detonation rocket engines and detonation ramjets, for space, defense, and commercial high-speed flight.

What you will do

• Program, set up, and help prove out precision parts on 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills and lathes.
• Manufacture precision tooling and rocket hardware from blueprints, drawings, models, and instructions.
• Program and support quick-turn projects and small-batch production while maintaining tight quality standards.
• Review and improve machining processes by collaborating with engineers, machinists, designers, and customers.
• Develop manufacturing procedures and provide input on tooling, machine selection, operations, and maintenance.
• Support a safe, high-quality manufacturing environment and contribute to team and leadership development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of CNC programming experience, including 5+ years setting up and operating 5-axis mills or lathes.
• Experience with Fanuc, HAAS, and Okuma controls, plus proficiency with CATIA/DELMIA.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot G-code, understand GD&T and blueprints, and use metrology tools.
• Strong knowledge of cutting tools, speeds and feeds, shop math, mechanical processes, and computer systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent, strong communication skills, and ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to meet U.S. ITAR export-control requirements, including U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected-individual status, or eligibility to obtain required authorizations.

Nice to have

• Mastercam experience.
• Experience designing in Siemens NX and CATIA.
• Experience working directly with designers in a prototype or R&D environment.
