UX-AX Operations Manager (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Austin, Texas, United States

Estimated total compensation: $185,000–$230,000 annually, including base salary and bonus. Additional equity and performance-based compensation may be available.

What you will do

• Design and run the operating model for a pod-based design organization embedded in cross-functional product teams.
• Drive adoption of AI-first design workflows using live-code prototyping, design systems, and Claude or equivalent tools.
• Own design-to-engineering handoff standards so interaction details are accurate and implementation-ready.
• Coordinate agent experience operations, including evaluations, guardrails, permissions, tool access, escalation paths, and failure handling.
• Define human-agent and multi-agent handoffs, while tracking prototyping velocity, handoff quality, cycle time, evaluation coverage, and tooling adoption.
• Run planning, prioritization, cross-pod cadence, customer co-build sessions, and onboarding for AI-first design practices.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in design or UX operations, program management, or a similar operating role, ideally in B2B SaaS.
• Direct experience running AI-enabled design workflows with live code, design systems, interactive prototypes, and implementation-ready engineering handoffs.
• Strong understanding of AI-first design-to-engineering workflows, including tooling, process, and practical trade-offs.
• Exposure to agent evaluation, guardrails, agent permissions, escalation models, or agent-facing product design.
• Experience replacing centralized ticket-based intake with embedded pod-based ownership and operating across teams without direct management authority.

• Experience scaling AI-first product development practices or rolling out agentic tools across an organization.
