What you will do

• Support the stability, growth, and daily operation of the Cisco-based enterprise campus wireless network.
• Design and plan wireless solutions based on user, campus, teaching, learning, and research requirements.
• Perform RF analysis, troubleshooting, site surveys, capacity assessments, and end-user equipment testing.
• Provision, install, configure, and manage indoor and outdoor wireless access points, antennas, cabling, and related infrastructure.
• Support core routing and switching infrastructure, including equipment racking and fibre backbone patching.
• Implement secure wireless solutions aligned with cybersecurity guidelines and privacy requirements.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline and at least two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience supporting enterprise LAN/WAN environments, large campus networks, network operations, and network management.
• Knowledge of HSRP, OSPF, BGP, BGP/MPLS, DNS, and DHCP.
• Knowledge of enterprise wireless authentication and encryption, identity-based access control, wireless mesh, indoor and outdoor site surveys, and wireless intrusion prevention systems.
• Working knowledge of WiFi 7 and previous wireless generations, network management systems, Windows, macOS, Linux, XML, and Bash or Perl scripting.
• Ability to make independent technical decisions affecting network availability, reliability, and security.

Nice to have

• CCNA certification in routing and switching, security, or wireless networking.
• Experience with Intermapper, SNMP, Catalyst Center, BlueCat IPAM, or the ELK stack.
