Network & Systems Support Specialist Trainee

Location: Canada; ideal location: Regina, Saskatchewan or Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The role is assigned to a work location and requires up to 20% periodic travel to other North American locations, with limited international travel possible.

What you will do

• Install, modify, repair, and support desktop, laptop, mobile device, software, and network systems.
• Deploy technology for new sites and locations across North American business entities.
• Analyze and troubleshoot regional application, network, hardware, and user issues.
• Coordinate with hirify.global Global IT resources and escalate network issues to the Product Owner.
• Manage computing equipment logistics and support asset management solutions.
• Provide technical assistance, training, and professional support to end users and external customers.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in Canada.
• Graduates are eligible; a BS in Computer Science, MIS, or a similar field is highly preferred.
• Preferably two years of relevant work experience, ideally in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of desktop and laptop systems, WANs, LANs, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, switching, firewalls, routing, MFA, and SSO.
• Working knowledge of backup procedures, DHCP, DNS, and Microsoft servers, plus systematic technical problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license, safe driving record, valid passport, and access to a reliable vehicle suitable for business travel.
