Systems Engineering, Senior Specialist (Azure)

Location: Toronto, Canada; flexible hybrid work model

Salary: CAD 90,000–105,000 per year, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan

What you will do

• Maintain reliability, availability, resilience, monitoring, backup and recovery, capacity management, and disaster recovery readiness for critical systems.
• Operate and improve hybrid infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments, including connectivity and security components.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform, Ansible, Azure CLI, PowerShell, and related DevOps tooling.
• Monitor system health and performance, troubleshoot complex incidents, lead root cause analysis, and implement preventative improvements.
• Coordinate security and compliance controls, audit evidence, vulnerability remediation, technical documentation, and vendor escalations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent education and experience.
• 5+ years of infrastructure engineering or operations experience across hybrid environments.
• Eligibility to work for hirify.global Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
• Strong experience with Azure or AWS, landing zones, networking, compute, Kubernetes, databases, storage, access management, and observability.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, Linux, Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, and Microsoft enterprise services.
• Experience with high availability, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, ISO 27001 governance, audit readiness, vulnerability management, and capacity planning.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI-driven operational automation.
• Knowledge of Dell Data Domain, Veeam, Office 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Jira, and Confluence.
