Logistics Manager (Defense)

Location: Remote or onsite at hirify.global offices in the United States, including locations in Michigan, New York, Florida, Rhode Island, Virginia, Massachusetts, Indiana, and Washington, D.C. Domestic travel may be required up to 10% annually. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Salary: $132,000–$205,900 annually, depending on location.

What you will do

• Develop and execute enterprise logistics strategies for DoD, FAA, and commercial programs across multiple U.S. locations.
• Manage domestic and international transportation, freight, freight forwarding, 3PL, and carrier programs.
• Evaluate service providers, improve delivery and material movement performance, and optimize logistics costs.
• Establish standardized logistics processes, SOPs, KPIs, governance practices, and compliance controls.
• Lead complex cross-functional logistics initiatives from strategy through execution.
• Coordinate material movements with suppliers, brokers, government agencies, carriers, 3PLs, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain or Logistics, with 10+ years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in logistics strategy, transportation, freight programs, import and export compliance, customs regulations, and domestic and international logistics.
• Experience with freight, 3PL, carrier, or freight forwarding programs, including cost optimization and performance improvement.
• Experience establishing logistics processes, SOPs, KPIs, governance practices, and working with ERP/MRP systems, preferably Oracle.
• Strong analytical, communication, presentation, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance; selected applicants may undergo a government security investigation.
