TL;DR
Software Application Engineer (Computational Lithography): Introducing and optimizing BRION PWC/PWE software in customer semiconductor fabs with an accent on computational lithography, OPC, customer node integration, and on-product performance. Focus on solving complex software and lithography issues, debugging and scripting, integrating products into production processes, and leading application engineering projects.

Location: On-site in Austin, Texas, United States, with a flexible workplace arrangement allowing remote work up to two days per week. Customer visits and business travel may be required.

Base annual salary: $131,600–$180,950.

What you will do

  • Introduce BRION PWC/PWE software and new products for customer semiconductor manufacturing environments.
  • Collect customer input, review product documentation, and perform engineering evaluations to ensure requirements are met.
  • Install systems, support customer escalations, fine-tune products, and optimize on-product performance.
  • Integrate hirify.global products into customer-specific fabs and support node development, ramp-up, and high-volume manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with Applications Engineering project leaders, Design & Engineering, Customer Support, and Marketing to deliver customer solutions and align product roadmaps.
  • Lead small groups of software application engineers through projects or direct people management, including task and schedule alignment.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Optics Sciences, or Physical Sciences, with 7+ years of experience for a bachelor's degree, 5+ years for a master's degree, or 3+ years for a PhD.
  • Required knowledge of computational lithography and OPC software tools.
  • Background in mask data preparation, physical design, lithography, and wafer processing steps.
  • Previous direct customer interface experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, software debugging, programming, scripting, Linux shell, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology under United States export regulations before starting work.
