Senior Digital Technical Support Engineer (Construction Technology)

Location: Chicago or Peoria, Illinois, or Irving, Texas, United States

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year

What you will do

• Investigate, monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues for construction technology products.
• Support Grade Control, Payload, Cat Command, Detect/Safety systems, and other machine-based inquiries.
• Gather and analyze business requirements, identify technical gaps, and participate in root cause analysis.
• Follow risk assessment, corrective action, and quality-check processes.
• Share customer feedback with internal teams and support onboarding of new products into the Construction Industries Helpline.
• Maintain relationships with business partner technical support personnel and serve as a primary escalation point for technical issues.

Requirements

• Knowledge of customer-focused practices, effective communication, systems thinking, business intelligence, application design, and technical troubleshooting.
• Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, applications, and operational issues.
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate logical models into technical application designs.
• Experience with documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine systems, components, and operational behavior.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Nice to have

• Experience with earthmoving and heavy equipment technology, including Grade Control 2D/3D and Payload.
• Experience with Detect and Safety Systems.
• Knowledge of Cat Command, Product Link, VisionLink, and Cat machines, engines, and generators.
• Experience with Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics CRM.
