Senior Technician, Facility Services, HVAC/Refrigeration

Location: Spring, Texas, United States; onsite at 155 Louetta Xing, Spring, TX 77373-3007

Salary: $35.00–$70.00 per hour, plus potential premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Oversee installation, commissioning, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/R systems, including ductwork, control panels, refrigeration units, and building pneumatics.
• Lead diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial equipment.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs to improve equipment performance and reduce downtime.
• Manage refrigerant handling and compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable HVAC/R codes.
• Coordinate and mentor field technicians through hands-on training and performance evaluation.
• Manage parts inventory, vendors, service schedules, and on-call support for critical needs.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in HVAC or grocery rack refrigeration, or 6 years plus an Associate of Applied Science in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration.
• Type I and Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• HVAC-R or mechanical journeyman certification where required.
• At least 1 year of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related area, or 2 years of Walmart store experience.
• Valid state-issued driver's license, acceptable motor vehicle report, and required commercial driving record.
• Ability to lead field teams, manage service operations, and communicate effectively across functions.

Nice to have

• Completion of a two-year technical or vocational HVAC/R program or associate degree in air conditioning and refrigeration.
• Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Experience with glycol and CO2 systems.
