Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration

Location: Mankato, Minnesota, United States; facility-based work at a hirify.global retail location.

Salary: $29.00–$58.00 per hour, with possible premiums of $0.35–$3.00 per hour and bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Maintain and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC equipment, including large-scale rack refrigeration systems.
• Receive work orders through the work order management system and document completed repair activities.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and diagnose issues by inspecting, operating, and testing equipment and fixtures.
• Use hand tools, power tools, digital tools, testing equipment, ladders, and other equipment to complete repairs.
• Complete required safety training and follow hirify.global refrigeration HVAC, OSHA, and EPA procedures.
• Lift up to 75 pounds and work frequently on ladders and at heights.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of commercial HVAC/refrigeration maintenance experience, or 4 years of related mechanical maintenance or construction experience; a vocational or technical HVAC/R certification may qualify with 2 years of experience.
• Large-scale rack refrigeration experience and EPA Type I/Type II or Universal certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state-issued driver's license, clean commercial driving record, and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
• High school diploma or equivalent and minimum age of 18.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds, climb ladders, work at heights, and follow safety and environmental regulations.

Nice to have

• Two-year vocational or technical HVAC/R program completion.
• HVAC/R or mechanical journeyman license, where required, or a mechanical license for the city or state.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and office productivity software.
