Building Automation Specialist (DDC)

What you will do

• Program, configure, and commission Direct Digital Control systems using control basic or function block diagrams.
• Integrate building automation controls with HVAC, lighting, security, and energy management systems.
• Write and test controller programs, troubleshoot programming issues, and commission completed systems.
• Monitor system performance and optimize energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and reliability.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, technicians, clients, and other stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
• Prepare control sequences, wiring diagrams, as-built drawings, performance reports, and provide user training and technical support.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a DDC Controls Programmer in the building automation industry.
• Proficiency with DDC programming platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Siemens Talon, or Distech.
• Strong knowledge of building automation, HVAC controls, lighting controls, energy management, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks protocols.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, project coordination, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and priorities.
