Health Benefit Rep (Health Insurance)

Location: 100% field-based within Orange County, New York; evenings and weekends required.

Salary: $23.23–$39.61 per hour

What you will do

• Educate consumers about and assist with enrollment in Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Essential Plan, Qualified Health Plans, and HARP through the NY State of Health Marketplace.
• Explain eligibility, premium tax credits, cost-sharing reductions, plan benefits, deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, and Marketplace metal tiers.
• Support document submission, premium payments, renewals, recertifications, and follow-up on enrollment leads.
• Teach members to use Fidelis digital tools, including the member portal and mobile app.
• Conduct public education presentations, workshops, forums, and community events.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, application dashboards, activity tracking, and confidential health information.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills and prior public speaking experience.
• Two or more years of experience in managed care, sales, customer service, or a related field preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.
• Must complete and pass the NY State of Health training program and annual recertification requirements.
• A driver's license is mandatory for non-NYC counties and preferred for NYC counties.

Nice to have

• Fluency in Spanish.
• Experience in managed care, sales, or customer service.
