Vice President (CMBS)

Location: New York, NY, United States

Annual base salary: $250,000–$275,000

What you will do

• Support the screening, sizing, structuring, underwriting, and closing of commercial real estate loans.
• Prepare credit committee reports covering cash flow, risks, strengths, borrowers, sponsors, and market analysis.
• Perform site inspections, identify market comparables, complete tenant analyses, and prepare asset summary reports.
• Review third-party reports, property leases, and financial statements during loan due diligence.
• Assist with loan closings and procure required closing items.
• Gain exposure to conduit loan originations, pricing, capital markets, and commercial real estate securitization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• 7+ years of experience in CMBS loan underwriting or a similar role.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Argus, with prior Excel financial modeling experience.
• Excellent communication, organizational, project management, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with team members across diverse groups and regions.
• Strong work ethic, motivation, and attention to detail.
