Assistant Vice President, Private Credit Analyst (Fintech)

Annual base salary: $125,000–$135,000 USD

What you will do

• Evaluate, underwrite, and execute private credit, structured finance, and asset-based finance investments.
• Analyze collateral tapes, financial statements, asset-level data, cash flows, relative value, and investment risks.
• Lead transaction due diligence and execution with issuers, sponsors, advisors, counsel, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop financial models, forecasts, sensitivity analyses, and stress scenarios to support investment decisions.
• Present underwriting analyses, diligence findings, and investment recommendations to senior investment professionals and the Investment Committee.
• Monitor portfolio performance, credit quality, covenants, deal triggers, amendments, waivers, reporting, and transaction documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; CFA designation or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years of capital markets experience at an investment bank, asset manager, or buy-side institution, with structured finance and asset-based finance experience.
• Strong credit analysis, transaction documentation, covenant, structural protection, and creditor remedies knowledge.
• Advanced Excel-based cash flow and scenario modeling skills; Python experience preferred.
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP and IFRS and their application to credit analysis.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, organization, judgment, and ability to manage multiple complex workstreams.
