Mechanical Engineering Co-op

Location: Blue Ash, Ohio, United States; full-time onsite co-op for 8 months

Salary: $25.00 per hour

What you will do

• Rotate through applications engineering, new product development, manufacturing engineering, and labs and product approvals.
• Perform engineering calculations, create 2D and 3D models, and maintain drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Fabricate and evaluate product concepts, support design reviews, and participate in site and supplier visits.
• Develop test plans, assemble materials, conduct validation testing, and design or improve test fixtures using prototyping equipment.
• Support manufacturing improvements, tooling and equipment projects, routing and BOM changes, quality documentation, and inspection processes.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methods, including Kaizen, Gemba walks, 5S, TPM, and SMED projects.

Requirements

• Pursuing an undergraduate engineering degree; a mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology focus is preferred.
• Currently enrolled as a full-time or part-time student at an accredited college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Available for a full-time, 8-month co-op in Blue Ash, Ohio, and able to provide transportation to and from work.
• Authorized to work in the United States without restrictions now or in the future.
• Analytical, creative, hands-on problem-solving skills with initiative, professionalism, and confidence in driving results.
