Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op

Location: Rockrimmon, Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. Full-time, on-site co-op assignment for six months from January through June 2027, working 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m.

Salary: $20–$30 per hour, depending on overall qualifications.

What you will do

• Evaluate and improve manufacturing processes across planning, tooling, injection molding, secondary operations, and assembly.
• Partner with manufacturing and production teams to develop and standardize injection molding startup and shutdown procedures.
• Support safety, quality, operational excellence, and process reliability across production areas.
• Create user-friendly work instructions and visual documentation for automated equipment and machine interfaces.
• Support operator training through clear process documentation.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university co-op program and familiar with the university’s participation requirements.
• Studying mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering.
• Expected graduation in 2027 or Spring 2028.
• Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, including relevant coursework.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Must be available for 40 hours per week from January through June.
