Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op (Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Aurora, Illinois, United States; 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., from January through June 2027.

Salary: $20–$30 per hour, depending on overall qualifications.

What you will do

• Create and update SOPs, batch cards, response flow checklists, and operator work instructions for Slurries production lines.
• Audit documentation against current production-floor practices, identify gaps, and drive updates through review and approval.
• Support quality investigations and root-cause analysis for nonconformances, customer complaints, scrap, and rework.
• Analyze process and quality data, identify variation and improvement opportunities, and help build dashboards or reports.
• Support audit and compliance readiness through document control, training records, and change documentation.
• Partner with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Quality, and present project results to Slurries leadership.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and June 2029.
• Strong technical writing, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience or comfort with data analysis tools such as Excel, Minitab, JMP, Power BI, or similar.
• Must be available for a full-time, on-site co-op assignment and meet university co-op participation requirements.
• Must not require hirify.global immigration sponsorship now or in the future, including H-1B, TN, or STEM OPT sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Coursework or project experience in quality engineering, statistics, data analytics, or machine learning.
• Exposure to Six Sigma, statistical process control, or quality systems.
