Supervisor, Advanced Manufacturing (Aerospace/Automotive)

Location: Torrance, California, United States; onsite production-floor role

Salary: $116,420–$160,080 USD per year

What you will do

• Supervise daily operations across CNC machining, part cleaning and preparation, robotic assembly, and automated anodizing.
• Lead technicians and production leads while maintaining production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Allocate labor, equipment, and materials to meet short- and long-term production goals.
• Troubleshoot process issues with engineering, maintenance, and quality teams to reduce downtime and improve throughput.
• Coach employees, provide performance feedback, and support workforce development.
• Maintain production documentation, downtime records, maintenance logs, 5S standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Must be able to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
• 3–5 years of technical experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years of experience in people leadership or supervision.
• Experience with ERP and MES systems, production tracking, and changing priorities in an engineering development environment.
• Strong communication, conflict resolution, team-building, and interpersonal skills.
• Hands-on presence on the production floor and ability to direct and schedule assigned staff.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with 5-axis CNC machines, mills, and lathes in aerospace.
• Experience with automated production lines or cells.
• Experience with KUKA robots.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
