Production Supervisor (Aerospace)

Location: United States; regular work on the manufacturing shop floor is required

STS Aerospace provides fluid-conveyance products, fixtures, and tooling for commercial and military aircraft and the energy, space, and marine industries.

What you will do

• Lead shop-floor employees and ensure safety, productivity, quality, and adherence to company policies.
• Coach, mentor, train, and communicate with employees while providing feedback and documenting performance and conduct.
• Teach lean concepts, establish a 5S culture, and champion continuous-improvement events and Gemba walks.
• Optimize manpower and equipment allocation, manage attendance and coverage, and expedite work requiring shared resources.
• Track KPIs, investigate safety, quality, and productivity issues, and encourage operator-level problem solving.
• Manage WIP quantities and accuracy while meeting takt time, production schedules, and commitment dates.

Requirements

• Previous supervisor experience is required.
• Strong communication, motivation, training, delegation, and feedback skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, make decisions, solve problems, and analyze production or quality data.
• Lean or Six Sigma training or experience.
• Comfort working in a manufacturing environment and using office software; MS Office and ERP experience are helpful.
• Ability to sit for extended periods, perform extensive computer work, lift up to 50 pounds when required, and travel occasionally.
