Health Benefit Representative (Health Insurance)

Location: 100% field-based within Dutchess County, New York. Required to work evenings and weekends.

Salary: $23.23–$39.61 per hour

What you will do

• Educate and assist consumers with enrollment in Medicaid, Child Health Plus, Essential Plan, Qualified Health Plans, and Health & Recovery Plan coverage through the NY State of Health Marketplace.
• Explain eligibility rules, premium tax credits, cost-sharing reductions, deductibles, co-pays, co-insurance, and Marketplace metal tiers.
• Support existing members with renewals, recertifications, premium payments, and required documentation.
• Teach members how to use digital tools, including the member portal and mobile app.
• Conduct public education presentations, ACA forums, workshops, and community events.
• Track applications and leads, maintain accurate CRM records, and follow up with consumers in a timely manner.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills and prior public speaking experience.
• Two or more years of experience in managed care, sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
• Must complete and pass the NY State of Health approved training program and all required annual recertification courses.
• A driver's license is mandatory for non-NYC counties and preferred for NYC counties.

• Fluency in Spanish.
• Experience in managed care, sales, or customer service.
