What you will do

• Report, shoot, write, voice, edit, and present news stories for broadcast, web, social media, and other platforms.
• Research events and background information, conduct interviews, and verify facts using reference materials and public records.
• Pitch locally relevant stories and develop assignments from leads, tips, and community events.
• Determine story emphasis, length, and format while revising content to meet editorial and time requirements.
• Collaborate with producers and news managers to establish priorities and positions.
• Engage with viewers and users through social media platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Fluency in English required.
• At least two years of news reporting experience, depending on market size.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to ad lib when required.
• Superior on-air presence, computer proficiency, and the ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple assignments.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and flexibility to work any shift required.
